Now, with the location secure, she had to find a nearby studio that could accommodate her production needs and meet the film's budget requirements as well. It was also important that the studio be designated as a Qualified Film Production Facility in order for her company to take advantage of the 30% tax credits offered by New York State. She looked at a number of facilities in the area and selected Studio 57. Ms. Qureshi noted that the decision was an easy one. "What Studio 57 offered us was a convenient and cost-effective solution. Madj Ebadi and his team went out of their way to help us on many levels." In addition to working out a deal for the studio space, the company also provided assistance in scouting locations, casting, lighting and grip equipment rentals and coordinating with the Village of Patchogue to secure the necessary permits.

The Atlantic Pictures production of "Splinterheads" began on Monday, July 28 and will continue until the end of August. According to Ms. Qureshi, things couldn't have gotten off to a better start. "When we first considered shooting on Long Island, I thought we'd have to go into the city to find the right studio situation," she commented, "but all our concerns disappeared after our first meeting with Madj."

"Splinterheads," which stars Rachael Taylor ("Transformers"), Thomas Middleditch ("The Rebound") and Lea Thompson ("Back To the Future") is an action packed romantic comedy which tells the story of Justin Frost, a slacker whose world is turned upside down when he falls for Galaxy, a sexy and free-spirited con artist who works for a traveling carnival. This is the second film for Writer and Director, Brant Serson. His first film, "Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story" was an award-winning comedy starring Rob Corddry, Paul Scheer, and Jack McBrayer.
